PIKEMANIAC FLY RODS

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE ULTIMATE PIKE ROD

The various rod series in the Maniac family all have one thing in common. They are perfectly matched to specific areas of use or fishing techniques and have been developed without compromising on performance and features.

This product philosophy also applies to the PIKEMANIAC fly rods from Vision. They are the perfect tool for all pike junkies for whom only the best is good enough when they are chasing the really big pikes and other aggressive, combative predators with bulky flies. These extremely strong fly rods have a pleasant medium-fast action, so that you can also cast modern articulated king-size streamers to the horizon with ease, regardless of whether you are fishing from a boat, belly boat or bank.

The rods in this series were developed and intensively tested by two fanatical pike fishermen who are well-known beyond the pike scene, Niklas Bauer and Paolo Pacchiarini, who can be described as two die-hard pike maniacs themselves. And the two pros have set the bar pretty high and putting the #itonlycontsonfly-claim on the reel seat. In terms of performance and features, they have left nothing to chance and have pushed the limits of what a rod in this price range can offer.

The blank of the PIKEMANIAC fly rods is made of 40T carbon fibre and comes in a colour called pikegreen to match the range of application. All models in this series are designed as classic 9' foot long fly rods and are 4-piece. The markings on the blank parts allow you to quickly assemble the rod in alignment. The rod also has additional markings on the blank in the form of discreet black decorative wraps, which highlights the magic metre and extend up to 130 cm. For anything significantly longer than this, you should take the time to measure it carefully as you could have just set a new world record.

The PIKEMANIAC fly rods use first-class, corrosion-resistant and stable titanium snake guides as well as a high-quality Full Wells rod handle made of high-density EVA, also in a matching green colour, which offers you the best grip in all situations. The fighting butt is also made of EVA, matches the colour of the black reel seat and has the right dimensions for a thoroughbred big fish rod. The robust aluminium uplock reel seat is equipped with solid screw nuts, whereby the front screw nut is extra large and star-shaped for optimum grip and the right torque to lock the foot of your reel bombproof.
