Dubbing wax in different consistencies

Quickly and easily attach any dubbing to the tying thread

Dubbing wax is applied to the tying thread and helps the dubbing fibres adhere much better to the thread. It is considered a basic tool for many fly tyers and is available in different consistencies, ranging from firm to soft and tacky. Using dubbing wax is extremely simple: you apply a very small amount to the tying thread and then twist the dubbing onto the thread with your fingertips. This allows the material to grip the thread much more securely and makes it easier to create neat and controlled dubbing bodies. Depending on the type of wax and the amount of material used, you can create anything from slim and compact to very buggy and lively dubbing ropes for your fly patterns.
