PROBABLY THE BEST ONE-HANDED FLY RODS FOR BIG SALMONIDS

The powerful LPX CHROME single-handed fly rods from Guideline are ideal for migratory trout, salmon, sea trout and steelhead. This first-class fly rod series convinces with high-quality compontents as well as a fantastic action and thus really sets new standards in its price class.

The secret behind the distinctive rod action is C.A.P M4.0™ technology, which Guideline uses on all rods in the LPX series. The sophisticated carbon fibre layup in the rod blanks achieves a unique behaviour of the rod. The action can best be described as medium-fast, progressive and with fast recovery. The rod tip convinces with great stability, so that you can cast sharp and tight loops. It also has enough power to lift even heavy sinking lines out of the water and directly into the casting motion.

The more line you hold in the air, the deeper this fly rod loads and never feels overloaded. This way you can make long casts with little effort. The unique lateral stability of the LPX CHROME fly rods makes it much easier for you to keep the fly line in the casting plane, resulting in more precise casts, higher line speed and cleaner loops. With this new action, Guideline is really setting a benchmark that will set the standard for future rod series from the company, while also challenging the competition.

The fly rods of the LPX CHROME rod series are also superbly equipped in other respects. The specially developed reel seat as well as the full-wells rod handles made of the best FLOR quality cork together with the rubber cork-reinforced fighting butt survive even harsh conditions on the water. The best results for fishing for salmon, sea trout and steelhead are certainly achieved in combination with a suitable shooting head fly line.

THE INDIVIDUAL MODELS

LPX CHROME 9'9" #6: designed for line class #6, this rod model is suitable for inconspicuous presentations, but at the same time it offers you enough reserves and safety to master tough situations. This fly rod is perfect for migratory trout, sea trout and grilse. The classification of the fly rod is exact, so you can use it as a guide when choosing the right line. If you want to fish this fly rod with shooting heads, we can recommend the 3D+ Compact or the ULS lines from Guideline.

LPX CHROME 9'9" #7: this rod model is designed for casting larger flies when hunting migrating trout, sea trout and salmon. The specified line class matches the rod's classification exactly, making it very easy to find the right lines. This fly rod fishes perfectly with shooting heads such as 3D+ Compact or the ULS lines from Guideline. If you're fishing for "Chromes" with bombers upstream, the WF Bullet fly line is a hot tip!

LPX CHORME 9'9" #8: with the same range of use as the "lighter sister" in line class #7, this fly rod in line class #8 offers you an even stronger backbone even for trophy-sized salmonids. The specified line class corresponds exactly to the rod, so that you can easily find the right line. When using shooting heads, the 3D+ Compact or the ULS lines from Guideline are very suitable. If you're fishing for "Chromes" with bombers upstream, the WF Bullet fly line is a hot tip!

C.A.P M4.0 TECHNOLOGY

With the C.A.P M4.0™ rod building technology Guideline sets new standards in terms of lightness and durability of rod blanks. The abbreviation C.A.P stands for Complex Axial Pattern and describes the combination of carbon mats, in which the fibres are arranged at different angles to each other, with a fleece of carbon fibres in which all the fibres run in a single, parallel direction. This creates an extremely robust rod blank, with maximum strength in the direction of the longitudinal fibres. The individual fibre layers of the rod blanks are bonded together with a special resin called M4.0 ™, which differs from the conventional resins used in rod construction in that it fills the gaps in the carbon fabric much more effectively and this results in rod blanks with higher strength. The use of this resin also reduces the total amount of resin required for each rod blank. In this way, lighter rods can be made than ever before.
