Description

ELEVATION BROOK

SHORT BROOK RODS FOR MAXIMUM FUN ON SMALL WATERS

With the ELEVATION BROOK fly rods, Guideline presents a series of shorter and lighter fly rods that have been specially developed for small streams and brooks. Heavily structured, small bodies of water, dense bank vegetation and all kinds of other obstacles do not require long casting distances, but rather precise presentations. This is exactly what this rod series was developed for, as the medium-fast action means that the tip and middle section of the rod already work with little line in the air, giving you full control of the cast at all times, even in tight conditions.

In addition to the sustainable criteria for material selection and production that underpin all fly rods in the Elevation family, the development of the ELEVATION BROOK series also incorporated a lot of customer feedback. The design was based on a discreet finish in order to be as unobtrusive as possible when fly fishing at close range.

All fly rods in this series are 3-piece.

THE INDIVIDUAL BROOK MODELS

Elevation Brook 7'2" #3: The shortest model is definitely the best choice for the smallest brooks, which can often be heavily overgrown and the space for casting is therefore very often extremely limited. It is precisely in these situations that this short rod really comes into its own, as it allows you to present your fly wonderfully smoothly and precisely at short and medium distances even in these difficult conditions. What's more, fishing with this super-light and very crisp fly rod is a lot of fun!

Elevation Brook 8'0" #4: The longest model in the Brook series offers you a little more reach and is therefore the ideal fly rod for a slightly wider range of waters. You can fish streams and small rivers just as well as smaller lakes with it. It can be cast just as well with DT lines for fine dry fly fishing as with WF lines of the appropriate line class #4 if you want to achieve a little more distance. The slightly longer length also allows you to mend the fly line easier and control the drift of your flies better.

ELEVATION STANDS FOR SUSTAINABILITY

With the Elevation fly rods, Guideline has consistently pursued the path of sustainability and thus paved the way for this topic in the development and production of fly rods. The fact that no compromises were made in terms of power and performance is demonstrated by the impressive demand. It was therefore no great surprise that the Elevation family was expanded to include the BROOK and Euronymph series.

THE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DETAILS

  • Unnecessary material was removed during the development of the blanks. Positive side effect: the action of the rod could be determined much more precisely.
  • The blanks are only lightly sanded and not additionally coloured. The carbon fibre dust is collected separately and does not end up in the wastewater.
  • The half-well rod handles are made of AAA cork, deliberately without rubber cork ends.
  • The reel seats are anodised without chrome (lead) or additional paint. This minimises the toxicity of the process.
  • A bio-based epoxy resin is used to coat the rod blank, paint the rod guide wrapping and glue the rod handles.
  • The coatings on the rod guides are chrome-free and therefore also lead-free.
  • The rod sheath and cover of the rod tube are made from recycled polyester.
  • Recycled polypropylene is used for the rod tube instead of PVC.
