ELEVATION NYMPH

SPECIAL EURONYMPH ROD MODELS OF THE ELEVATION SERIES

Guideline has achieved great success with the fly rods from the Elevation series. The consistent focus on environmental compatibility and sustainability in the choice of materials and production processes for this new rod series has certainly contributed to this success. Moreover, the Elevation fly rods have also impressed with their power and performance. It is therefore only logical to expand this successful series with further models that also have the features and characteristics that are so popular with many fly fishermen. In addition to the Brook series of shorter models for small streams, the ELEVATION NYMPH fly rods are therefore available in the Elevation rod range, which are specially tailored to modern nymph fishing.

TOP-EQUIPPED EURONYMPH RODS

The 4-piece ELEVATION NYMPH rods have a medium-fast action with a very sensitive tip, which enables you to achieve decent casting distances even with monofilament lines or the ultra-thin and correspondingly light special fly lines for Euronymphing. At the same time, the soft tip also protects thin tippets from unintentional line breakage during the fight.

The surface of the matt blank itself has only been lightly sanded and has a fine spiral structure, which is created using a specially treated shrink tape in which the blanks are wrapped during production before they are cured. This structured surface prevents the monofilament line from sticking to the wet blank, which would lead to casting problems especially in Euronymphing.

The ringing on these fly rods has also been customised specifically for Euronymphing. The guide ring has been positioned closer to the rod handle so that you can grasp the line more quickly after the cast to immediately get in touch with your nymphs and optimally accompany and control their drift. Lightweight single leg running guides were chosen for the remaining rod rings, except for the first rod ring below the tip ring. A snake ring was deliberately used here, because when casting with these extremely light lines, the line often wraps around the rod tip. The line does not get caught on the snake ring, so you have to untangle line much less often.

The rod handle has been deliberately kept slim and is dimensioned so that you can place your index finger directly on the blank for even more direct and better sensitivity. The reel seat is of course designed as a down-locking version so that the fly reel is positioned as far back as possible and your slightly longer ELEVATION NYMPH fly rods are optimally balanced. This is because a top-heavy equipment setup can quickly tire your rod arm, especially when Euronymphing. The handle of this rod series is finished off at the bottom with a small fighting butt, which allows you to rest the rod comfortably on the lower side of your forearm during the typical drift control.

THE INDIVIDUAL ELEVATION NYMPH MODELS

ELEVATION NYMPH 10'2" #2: The lightest model in this series is the first choice for all those fly fishermen who want to fish exclusively in Euronymph style with this rod and are looking for a rod with which even the smallest nymphs can still be cast well. This delicate rod is ideal for fishing with monofilament lines. The fine tip offers you maximum sensitivity and reliably protects even the finest tippets from unintentional line breakage thanks to its very good damping properties. Don't worry, this rod has enough power in the handle section to confidently and quickly reel in even larger fish.

ELEVATION NYMPH 10'6" #3: This model is undoubtedly the most versatile in this rod series. It is still fine and light enough for modern nymph fishing with monofilament or ultra-thin Euronymph lines. The slightly longer length also makes it suitable for medium to large waters, as you can still control the drift of the nymphs well over longer distances thanks to the longer lever. It also has sufficient backbone to cope very well with larger fish. The slightly stronger blank means that normal fly lines can also be fished on this rod. If you are surprised by a sudden hatch while Euronymphing and the fish start to rise, you are flexible enough with this rod to spontaneously switch to the dry fly and cast as well as present it successfully.

ELEVATION NYMPH 10'2" #4: If you are primarily fishing in larger waters and also like to fish with larger and heavier flies, then this model is certainly the right rod for you. This is because it really comes into its own on larger waters, where you regularly have to reckon with large and powerful fish. Nevertheless, it has been deliberately kept a little shorter, as this makes it ideal not only for Euronymphing but also as a lightweight all-round trout rod with which you can cast a normal fly line just as easily as the thin lines for Euronymphing.

Details:

  • Special fly rods for modern nymph fishing
  • All models 4-piece
  • Fine, sensitive tip
  • The blanks are only lightly sanded and not additionally coloured. The carbon fibre dust is collected separately and does not end up in the waste water.
  • Spiral structure on the blank prevents the monofilament line from sticking when wet.
  • Unnecessary material was removed during the development of the blanks. Positive side effect: the action of the rod could be determined much more precisely.
  • Slim half-well rod handles are made of AAA cork, deliberately without rubber cork ends.
  • The down-locking reel seat for perfectly balanced tackle set-up. This is anodised without chrome (lead) or additional paint. This minimises the toxicity of the process.
  • Short fighting butt
  • A bio-based epoxy resin is used to coat the rod blank, paint the rod guide wrappings and glue the rod handles.
  • Lightweight and high-quality rod guides, designed almost entirely as insert guides.
  • Snake guide behind the tip guide to prevent the line from tangling.
  • The guide ring is positioned closer to the rod handle.
  • The coatings on the rod guides are chrome-free and therefore lead-free.
  • The rod case and cover of the rod tube are made from recycled polyester.
  • Recycled polypropylene is used for the rod tube instead of PVC.
