GUIDELINE ELEVATION DH FLY ROD

The Guideline ELEVATION DH is an extremely light, modern double-hand fly rod featuring a medium-fast action that feels smooth, controlled and intuitive across a wide range of casting styles. It delivers direct feedback, efficient power transfer and remains remarkably fatigue-free even during long days on the river. Designed for fly anglers of all experience levels, from ambitious beginners to seasoned two-handed specialists.

At the same time, the ELEVATION series represents a new direction for Guideline: rods where performance, lightness and sustainability are deliberately brought together – without compromising real-world fishing performance.

PROGRESSIVE ACTION & FAST RECOVERY

The ELEVATION DH features a medium-fast, progressive action with fast recovery. The tip is sensitive yet controlled, cushioning sudden head shakes, protecting fine leaders and providing clean timing throughout the cast – without ever feeling soft or unstable.

The mid section loads smoothly and builds energy progressively, while the powerful butt section delivers the reserves needed for high line speed, wind and heavier heads. The result is a beautifully balanced bend profile that produces tight loops, accurate casts and a very refined casting feel.

The rod is easy, forgiving and highly controlled, yet offers ample power when required. Whether fishing Scandi, Skagit or classic Spey casts, you quickly find a natural rhythm and maintain excellent connection to both rod and line.

EXTREMELY LIGHT, STABLE AND WELL BALANCED

During the development of the ELEVATION blanks, every effort was made to eliminate unnecessary material without sacrificing strength. Modern material science and manufacturing techniques allow for extremely precise control of power distribution throughout the blank.

The result is a series of rods that rank among the lightest in their class, yet feel solid, confidence-inspiring and exceptionally well balanced. Especially on long fishing days, the low swing weight becomes immediately noticeable – the rod remains lively, responsive and comfortable to fish.

MODELS & APPLICATIONS

12’ #7/8 & 13’ #8/9
These models are among the lightest double-hand rods ever produced in their respective lengths and line classes. Ideal for small to medium-sized salmon and sea trout rivers, they combine a sensitive tip with fast recovery. Perfect for Scandi setups, shooting heads, as well as multi-tip and full sinking systems.

14’ #9/10 & 15’ #10/11
These more powerful models are designed for larger rivers, stronger winds and heavier flies. The reinforced tip sections provide additional control when casting Skagit heads and multi-density sinking heads. Despite their power, the rods remain surprisingly light, well balanced and comfortable to fish.

THOUGHTFUL MATERIAL CHOICES & SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING

The ELEVATION series serves as Guideline’s benchmark for future rod development in terms of sustainability. The matte, lightly buffed blanks feature no added coloration, resulting in a subtle graphite-grey appearance. Excess carbon particles are captured and removed already during production.

Environmentally conscious choices extend to grips, reel seats, guides and adhesives: high-grade 3A cork without rubber fillers, clear anodized aluminium components free from chrome and lead, and bio-based, low-toxicity epoxy resins. Even the rod bag and tube are made from recycled or fully recyclable materials.
