SPECIALIST CAMOU INTERMEDIATE FLY LINE

DISCRETION AND CONTROL FOR DEMANDING SITUATIONS

The SPECIALIST CAMOU INTERMEDIATE fly line from Soldarini Fly Tackle is specifically designed for challenging conditions where stealth and precise presentation are crucial for success. Its natural camouflage coloration allows it to blend seamlessly with underwater vegetation, rocks, and weed beds, making it less detectable to fish. This makes it ideal for scenarios where wary target species are particularly sensitive to disturbances caused by visible lines.

CAMOUFLAGE COLORATION FOR MAXIMUM CONCEALMENT

Unlike conventional intermediate lines, the SPECIALIST CAMOU INTERMEDIATE is not uniformly transparent but features a sectional, shifting camouflage pattern in various shades of green. This unique coloration enables the line to merge seamlessly with its surroundings—especially along reed edges, over weed beds, or seagrass fields, where many fish prefer to reside. In such structured areas, the line remains virtually invisible, allowing for an especially effective and discreet fly presentation.

VERSATILE APPLICATIONS – RIVER AND STILLWATER

This fly line is well-suited for a wide range of applications. It excels particularly in wet fly and nymph fishing, as well as Stillwater fly fishing. In lower line weights (#3–5), the Specialist Camou is perfect for classic long-distance nymphing and wet fly fishing, especially on large waters with extended drifts. These techniques benefit from the line's ability to deliver natural fly presentations and sensitive bite detection.

In higher line weights (#6–8), it shines in Stillwater environments - such as ponds and lakes - where fish often seek cover among underwater vegetation or hover over weed beds. Even under challenging visibility conditions and with cautious fish, the subtle camouflage of the SPECIALIST CAMOU INTERMEDIATE fly line ensures a stealthy presentation of your fly.

EXCELLENT IN SALTWATER TOO

The SPECIALIST CAMOU INTERMEDIATE also proves advantageous in saltwater fly fishing, targeting species like sea trout or sea bass, particularly over structured substrates like seagrass beds. Its natural camouflage and controlled sink rate make it an excellent choice, even when coastal conditions are challenging.

OUTSTANDING CASTING PERFORMANCE

Thanks to its balanced long-belly profile with relatively short front and back tapers, this fly line quickly loads the rod, even with minimal line out. This allows for controlled, powerful, and long casts with few false casts, even under demanding conditions. Simultaneously, the design ensures a gentle fly presentation, even at short distances or during tricky shoreline casts. The sink rate of 1.25 to 1.5 IPS enables targeted descent into productive intermediate zones without losing control over the fly. Loops on both ends facilitate easy connection to backing and leader.
