Of the vises made by Cottarelli Turnery (CTA) the POCKET is certainly the smallest and cheapest. It is mainly made of steel and aluminium, which guarantees excellent sturdiness. The table vice allows you to have an extreme stability during fly tying also you can mount all the accessories of the line Standard.
The POCKET is sold with 1 clamp of your choice among the 3 available: streamer, media, midge. The clamps are interchangeable, so you can buy extra clamps and replace them if necessary. All the clamps can be tilted at will and are able to rotate freely at 360 degrees. It is important to know that the interchangeable clamps of the POCKET model can only be mounted on the POCKET model, they can not be mounted on any other model of vise and vice versa. Each clamp can lock almost any hook size but the ideal size for each clamp is:
- Medium: universal head, can be used on all hook sizes (ideal for hooks ranging from 1 to 24)
- Streamer: specific head, designed for the realization of streamers on large hooks (ideal for hooks ranging from 1 to 8)
- Midge: specific head, designed for the construction of very small flies (ideal for hooks ranging from 14 to 24)
