The feathers of the LADY AMHERST PHEASANT by hotfly are largely similar to those of the golden pheasant but are naturally white and black. The white areas of the feathers can be dyed very well and besides the bright colours the blue-metallic shimmer of the hackle tips beautifully preserved.
Just like the feathers of the golden pheasant, the feathers of the LADY AMHERST PHEASANT can be used in many classic and timeless fly patterns such as the legendary Royal Coachman, but also salmon flies, shrimp patterns and streamers. Whether it is a few hackles, small tufts or whole feathers, the high colour contrast of the dark tips and the rest of the feather makes this natural tying material suitable for a variety of applications on a wide range of fly patterns. Of course, you can also use the single-coloured parts of each feather very well for tails, bodies or thorax areas of dry flies and nymphs.
You will find the LADY AMHERST PHEASANT in very different and contrasting colourings partly with UV and partly with fluorescent effects. The product includes the complete scalp including head feathers and collar.
