STILLWATER FROLLCAST PRO V2

THE ULTIMATE FLY FISHING COMBO FOR THE FROLLER CAST

The STILLWATER FROLLCAST PRO V2 is the ideal fly fishing combo if you want to learn or perfect the Froller Cast. Each component – fly rod, reel and line – has been carefully matched to make casting smooth and effortless, without unnecessary physical effort. Whether you're fishing lakes, ponds or other stillwaters, this combo gives you everything you need for accurate, efficient and long-distance casts.

PREMIUM COMPONENTS FROM HOTFLY SUPERB

Only high-quality products from Hotfly Superb are used in this combo. The result is a perfectly matched fly fishing setup, with components that work in harmony throughout casting and fishing.

The combo includes 1 fly rod, 1 fly reel, 1 fly line and backing. While the fly rod and backing remain the same in every configuration, you can choose your preferred fly reel and fly line. Your selected fly line and backing are supplied already spooled onto the reel and ready to use.

FLY ROD

hotfly LITECRAFT LAKEMASTER 10' #7/8 fly rod – this fly rod features a medium-fast, progressive action and a powerful backbone. Modern materials and high-quality components provide an excellent combination of lightness and power, ideal for long-distance casting and accurate presentations.

FLY REEL – CHOOSE FROM FOUR OPTIONS

hotfly RHINOX 79 #7/9 fly reel – robust aluminium reel with a powerful carbon disc drag and generous line capacity
hotfly RHINOX 79 #7/9 fly reel kit – the RHINOX 79 complete with 2 additional spare spools for quick changes between different fly lines
hotfly EXA 690 EDITION #9/10 fly reel – CNC-machined from a solid block of aluminium, with spare spools available separately
MULTI GM550 fly reel – includes 3 spare spools made from durable plastic for quick changes between different fly lines

All four reel options can be easily converted between left-hand and right-hand retrieve.

FLY LINE – FOUR CASTING-OPTIMISED OPTIONS

DEVELOPED FOR THE FROLLER CAST

The included ROLLCAST PRO is a specially designed fly line featuring a purpose-developed taper that allows you to achieve casting distances of 20 metres or more, even when backcasting space is limited. This is made possible by the Froller Cast, also known as the Froll Cast, a highly effective casting technique based on the traditional roll cast.

The Froller Cast is relatively easy to learn and allows even beginners to achieve impressive casting distances in a short time. This makes it possible to cover large areas of water and fish them effectively. The technique requires only around one and a half rod lengths of space behind you, as no long backcasts are needed. Instead, you simply lay part of the fly line on the ground behind you.

The special fly line, with its long belly, extended front taper and corresponding line weight, generates sufficient momentum during the subsequent forward casting stroke. This allows you to present your fly at considerable distances with minimal physical effort. Because the individual casting movements do not need to flow directly into one another, the Froller Cast is also particularly forgiving of casting errors.
