LITECRAFT ICS ITALIAN CASTING STYLE FLY ROD KIT

THE COMPLETE KIT FOR TECHNICALLY PRECISE FLY FISHING

This fly-fishing kit is designed for anyone who wants to learn or further master the Italian Casting Style – also known as TLT (Tecnica di Lancio Totale). This casting technique uses short, fast-action rods in combination with light lines, making it easier to achieve high line speeds and create tight loops for pinpoint presentations – even at longer distances. It enables precise casting even in waters with overhanging vegetation or other obstacles. The LITECRAFT ICS fly rod combo offers the perfect equipment for this technique, professionally matched and pre-assembled for immediate use.

FIRST CLASS FLY ROD FOR ICS

The LITECRAFT ICS 7'6'' #3 was developed in close collaboration with experienced casting instructors from the Italian Fly Fishing School (SIM Scuola Italiana di Pesca a Mosca), thoroughly tested and refined before going into production. The rod’s fast action allows for precise timing and gives you full control over every phase of your cast – from lifting the line off the water to its accurate delivery. Thanks to its progressive blank design, the rod loads efficiently at any line length in the air, delivering powerful acceleration and high line speed – both essential for the Italian Casting Style.

WELL-BALANCED REEL COMBINATION FOR FINE LINES

The Hotfly CMA 590 Edition in size #3/4 complements the rod perfectly. Precision-milled from lightweight aluminum and featuring a finely adjustable drag, this reel ensures excellent balance and comfortable handling, even on long days of fishing. It can easily be converted from left-hand to right-hand retrieve. The large-arbor spool provides ample capacity for delicate DT lines and matching backing – both of which come pre-spooled in this kit.

RIVERSPEED DOUBLE-TAPER LINE: FEEL AND FINESSE THROUGHOUT

ICS demands a perfect match between rod and line – that’s why this combo includes the RIVERSPEED DT #3. This floating double-taper fly line responds beautifully to your input, enabling precise fly placement using various ICS casting techniques – even under low-hanging branches or behind large rocks in turbulent water. It loads the rod evenly and provides the sensitivity and control required for precision casting the Italian way.

CASTING AND FISHING ON A NEW LEVEL

The LITECRAFT ICS fly rod combo is the ideal choice for ambitious beginners and experienced fly anglers alike who want to experience – or refine – the elegance, precision, and dynamics of the Italian Casting Style. While this method excels on technical stretches of water, this setup is so versatile that it’s a joy to use in many other scenarios too – targeting wary trout and grayling with long, delicate, and accurate casts. This thoughtfully assembled combo offers excellent casting performance – ready to go straight out of the box, making every moment by the water a pleasure, not just when landing fish but throughout every cast.
