INTERCHANGEABLE HEADS FOR POCKET FLY TYING VISE

THREE VISE HEADS FOR DIFFERENT HOOK SIZES

The INTERCHANGEABLE HEADS FOR THE POCKET FLY TYING VISE allow you to adapt your vise to different hook sizes and fly patterns. Made from hardened steel, solid brass and aluminium, these robust heads provide a secure grip on fly hooks throughout the tying process.

All three versions can accommodate a wide range of hook sizes. However, their different shapes and dimensions make each head particularly suitable for specific applications:

Medium: Universal head for a wide variety of fly patterns. Ideal for hook sizes #1 to #24.
Streamer: Specially designed for larger hooks and tying bulky streamers. Ideal for hook sizes #1 to #8.
Midge: Particularly slim head for delicate flies and very small hooks. Ideal for hook sizes #14 to #24.

MORE WORKING SPACE WHEN TYING THE SMALLEST FLIES

The MIDGE HEAD offers a distinct advantage when tying small dry flies, nymphs and midges. Its slim, tapered design takes up very little space around the clamped hook, providing greater freedom of movement and easier access to the hook. This makes delicate tying operations and precise thread wraps considerably easier.

QUICK HEAD CHANGES AND EASY HOOK CLAMPING

Changing heads is straightforward: loosen the inner knurled nut, remove the existing head from the fork-shaped holder and replace it with the version best suited to your fly pattern. Then secure the new head in position.

The fly hook is clamped using the outer knurled nut. Turning this nut closes the jaws and holds the hook securely in place.

Important compatibility information: These interchangeable heads are designed exclusively for the POCKET fly tying vise. They are not compatible with the TRAVEL, STANDARD, T-REX or ALFA models.
