CLICK SL FLY REEL
LIGHT AND EFFECTIVE FLY FISHING
The Loomis & Franklin CLICK SL fly reel is equipped with a clicker drag which, thanks to its gentle resistance, prevents the spool from overriding and the line from running off the reel in an uncontrolled manner and thus forming line tangles. This reel does not feature a classic reel drag and it is therefore perfect for delicate and light fly fishing for trout and grayling. It can be used by both right-handed and left-handed anglers, as the clicker drag works equally well in both directions.
The closed reel frame is particularly practical as it prevents the ultra-thin fly lines and monofilament lines from getting caught between the reel frame and spool when retrieving and then wrapping around the reel axle. You can therefore also use the Loomis & Franklin CLICK SL fly reel for your equipment setup when Euronymphing.
In addition, these fly reels are of course also ideal for fine dry fly fishing as well as classic nymph fishing. You have the choice between two different reel sizes, namely #0/4 and #4/6, which differ primarily in their line capacity. By dispensing with a classic reel drag, the engineers at Loomis & Franklin have also succeeded in saving a substantial amount of weight, as the #0/4 weighs just 82 g while the #4/6 weighs only 85 g.
On the one hand, the large-arbor spool of this fly reel offers you a high line retrieve per turn of the crank. On the other hand, the large inner diameter also significantly reduces the annoying memory effect and therefore the curling of the line kept on the reel.
Despite its delicate appearance, this fly reel is very robust as it is made from anodised 6061-T6 aluminium, making it highly resistant to corrosion.
