AURA BRONZE

PRECISION, LIGHTNESS AND CONTROL – DOWN TO THE LAST DETAIL

With the AURA Bronze, Guideline has developed a fly reel series that is not about visual excess, but about consistent function, clean balance and technical clarity. Each model in the range is precisely tuned to its intended application – no more and no less. The result is an exceptionally light, robust and elegant fly reel that perfectly complements modern fly rods and feels instantly right on the water.

These fly reels combine precise CNC machining, a fully sealed carbon disc drag system and a closed-frame design into a reel that performs reliably in both freshwater and saltwater. Technically present, yet never overbuilt – functional, refined and unobtrusive.

BALANCED CONSTRUCTION FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE

A core objective in developing the AURA series was to reduce every component to its true functional purpose. Instead of adding mass or unnecessary reserves, weight was removed where it offered no benefit – and placed precisely where balance and control gain the most.

This approach results in a fly reel that perfectly balances modern, lightweight fly rods and feels harmonious both during casting and while fighting fish. Weight distribution, spool dimensions and frame geometry all follow one clear principle: maximum efficiency with minimal material.

LARGE ARBOR SPOOL & CLOSED FRAME

All AURA Bronze reels feature large-diameter large arbor spools for fast line retrieval and improved fish control. Carefully tuned, narrow spool widths ensure clean and even line lay – without stacking or bunching.

The closed full-frame design reliably prevents thin shooting lines, running lines or monofilament nymph lines from slipping between the spool and frame. With today’s ultra-thin fly lines, this is a key advantage for smooth, stress-free fishing.

Models designed specifically for double-hand rods additionally feature a solid line guard, enhancing structural rigidity while contributing to proper balance with longer rods.

FULLY SEALED CARBON DRAG SYSTEM

The AURA Bronze is equipped with a fully sealed carbon-fibre disc drag that starts smoothly and delivers consistent, finely adjustable and completely jerk-free braking across the entire drag range. Performance remains stable whether fishing cold mountain rivers or tropical saltwater environments.

The sealed construction protects the drag system from water, salt and debris, ensuring long service life with minimal maintenance. Each reel size features a drag profile precisely tuned to its application – from protecting the finest tippets to delivering uncompromising stopping power against powerful fish.

PREMIUM MANUFACTURING & THOUGHTFUL DETAILS

All AURA Bronze reels are CNC-machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminium, offering an excellent balance of low weight, high strength and outstanding corrosion resistance. Precision manufacturing ensures perfect tolerances, smooth rotation and reliable performance even under heavy load.

The reels are supplied as standard with left-hand retrieve and can be quickly and easily converted to right-hand retrieve using just a flat-head screwdriver. CNC-machined drag knobs provide a secure, tactile grip – even with wet hands or in cold conditions.

The dual-anodized finish not only enhances visual appeal but also protects the reel from wear and environmental exposure. Each AURA Bronze is delivered in a padded nylon reel case, with spare spools available for all sizes.

MODELS & RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS
