The VIBE 85+ is Vision's best-selling fly line and there are good reasons for this. As with the other versions of this fly line, the VIBE 85+ SINK 5 HEAD also has a super-slick surface coating that remains intact even in warmer conditions, minimising friction on the rod guides so that you can easily cast your flies at longer distances. At 8.5 metres, the head is rather short, but the weight is higher compared to the specified Aftma class, so that you can load your fly rod very well even with a comparatively short line out. This naturally benefits you in all situations where casting space is limited. You also need fewer false casts for casting at longer distances allowing you to be more efficient as you cast less and fish more. In addition, this line is also ideal for all types of roll, switch and spey casts thanks to its compact, heavier weight and also turns over streamers with ease. The head sinks at a rate of 5 IPS (5 inches per second, i.e. around 12.5 cm per second) while the running line floats. This means that even light streamers can be fished very efficiently in deeper water, making this fly line just as suitable in larger rivers as it is in Stillwater, for example when fishing for perch with a streamer, but also on the coast when fly fishing for sea trout.

The VIBE 85+ SINK 5 HEAD is 27 metres long in line class #5-6 and 30 metres long in the higher line classes, as well as two-coloured, with a black head and a yellow running line, so that you can easily distinguish the line sections with their different properties thanks to the high contrast. The line core is braided and therefore very low stretch, so that the energy of the cast is transferred better and the contact with your flies is very direct, thus you feel the takes better. It is equipped with a small line loop at the front end so that the leader can be attached very quickly and easily. For better identification, the line ID is printed next to the loop. This line is PVC-free and does not contain any phthalate plasticisers.
