DISCOVERY NYMPH FLY FISHING KIT

THE PERFECT ENTRY POINT INTO THE WORLD OF FLY FISHING

The fly rod combos in the Discovery series are the perfect choice for all fly fishers who are looking for high-quality equipment to get them started in the wonderful world of fly fishing or who are seeking the right set-up for very specific techniques, without having to spend a fortune. For this purpose, the French manufacturer JMC has consistently further developed its proven Discovery sets and, with the current generation, presents complete fly-fishing combos that are perfectly tailored to the diverse requirements of modern freshwater fly fishing, ensuring that you are perfectly equipped for your fishing adventures – and at an extremely attractive price.

IDEAL FOR MODERN NYMPHING

With the DISCOVERY NYMPH fly rod set, you are perfectly equipped for fly fishing Euronymph style, because it offers perfectly matched equipment components for successful modern nymph fishing with ultra-fine fly lines or monofilament fishing lines. With this Euronymph fly rod set, it is easy for you to precisely place even small and light nymphs and follow their drift in a controlled manner. This fly rod set offers you the necessary sensitivity to detect even the finest takes without running the risk of losing control when playing and landing a bigger fish.

COMPLETE SET WITH PERFECTLY MATCHED COMPONENTS

The centrepiece of the DISCOVERY NYMPH fly rod set is a 4-piece, black coloured carbon-fibre fly rod in 10'6'' length for line class #2/3. Its medium-fast action is ideal for achieving decent casting distances even with small nymphs and for controlling them. The high-quality half-wells cork handle with protective rubber-cork end-pieces is comfortable to hold. The fighting butt, which rests on your forearm, allows you to hold the rod more relaxed and fish with it for longer without losing your concentration. The black reel seat made of aluminium with dark red spacer gives the rod an individual visual accent. Even the smallest details have been considered in the design of the fly rod, which also features a practical hook keeper.

The stripping guide is equipped with a SIC insert, while the remaining rod guides are light and modern single-leg models that reduce line friction to a minimum, thus ensuring long and precise casts.

The large-arbor spool of the included aluminium fly reel has a large inner diameter that counteracts the memory effect of the fly line, effectively reducing the annoying curling of the line. It is equipped with a reel drag with a large, easy-grip control wheel and is also visually perfectly matched to the fly rod combo with the spool and reel frame in black and the contrasting reel foot in the same dark red as the spacer of the reel seat. This reel can easily be converted from left-hand to right-hand retrieve.

The fly reel is already spooled with sufficient backing and a floating fly line that is tailored to the intended use. A matching leader makes these fly fishing kits ready for immediate use – just unpack them, put the rod together, tie on a fly and off to the water! And all at a really attractive price that makes fly fishing truly accessible to everyone.

The DISCOVERY NYMPH fly rod combo comes in a practical rod transport tube with attached reel bag, so you can store the fly rod with the fly reel already mounted and not lose any time setting up your equipment at the water's edge.
