The hair of the chamois is finer and softer than that of deer and roe deer, which means that the dubbing can be fixed to the tying thread both with the loop method and with the help of tying wax.
CHAMOIS HAIR DUBBING is ideal for tying sedge patterns and actively guided search flies, as the slightly softer dubbing can be used to form beautiful silhouettes and the firmer hairs imitate the legs of the flies very well. The hairs of this natural dubbing are not completely water repellent, so it is very suitable for tying wet flies and nymphs, such as caddis fly larvae.
