CCS SPARKLE CHENILLE

CLASSIC CHENILLE WITH FINE NYLON FIBRES AND A SUBTLE PEARLESCENT SHEEN

Hotfly's CCS SPARKLE CHENILLE combines the uniform construction of a classic chenille with fine, incorporated nylon fibres. These protrude slightly from the core, giving the material a more pronounced, finely textured surface than conventional chenilles.

Its distinctive feature is the subtle sheen and delicate pearlescent reflections of the nylon fibres. Depending on the angle of the light, they produce attractive reflections without making the fly body excessively flashy. This allows you to combine a classic body structure with an additional visual highlight.

FOR STREAMERS AND FLY BODIES WITH SUBTLE LIGHT REFLECTIONS

CCS SPARKLE CHENILLE is particularly suitable for streamers with evenly shaped, slightly shimmering bodies. When wrapped around the hook shank, it creates a compact body with fine nylon fibres protruding slightly from the surface. This gives the streamer a subtle texture with pearlescent reflections.

The material is also useful for bodies and thoraxes of larger nymphs and other classic fly patterns. Closely spaced wraps produce compact bodies, while slightly looser turns create a more open fibre structure. This chenille is an excellent choice when you want to add subtle light reflections without using prominent flash fibres.

CUSTOM CHENILLE SYSTEM – CREATE YOUR OWN COLOURS

CCS SPARKLE CHENILLE is part of Hotfly's Custom Chenille System (CCS). With the matching Fly Tying Marker Felt Pens, you can custom-colour the chenille permanently. This allows you to create numerous colour combinations for different fly patterns using just a few basic chenille variants.

The matching colour markers are available separately. Rather than buying the chenille in several ready-made colours, you can colour the material to suit your needs. This reduces the amount of material you need to keep in stock, saves money and gives you greater freedom when choosing the colours of your flies.
