PRACTICAL BOBBIN HOLDER WITH GENEROUSLY SIZED CERAMIC LINING
The BULLET HEAD GOLD CERAMIC from Hotfly is an easy-to-use and practical bobbin holder. It has a classic shape with two legs, at the lower ends of which are the cone-shaped holding points for the yarn bobbins. Due to the flexible legs, this bobbin holder accommodates all standard width bobbins of fly-tying yarn. You can easily adjust the pull-off resistance of the yarn by bending the two wire legs slightly together (tighter) or apart (looser). This way you can adjust the bobbin holder to the yarn you are using and your fly-tying habits.
The yarn tube has generously dimensioned ceramic lining at both ends. This material has an enormous hardness and can therefore withstand modern and ultra-fine tying threads. These high-performance threads put a lot of stress on the material, especially when they are tied under tension. Even the smallest unevenness or sharp edges can roughen or cut the fly-tying thread. This makes the bobbin holder unusable. The ceramic lining of this bobbin holder, then again, remain wonderfully smooth even after long use and will not damage your fly-tying thread.
The legs and the tube are connected with a round, bullet-shaped handle. This makes it very easy to give this bobbin holder a powerful spinning movement with a quick finger movement in order to twist the fly-tying thread.
