As a clever additional feature, the rear end of the tapered handle of this THREADER is hollow build, so that it suits perfectly for tying the end knot on your artificial flies in the form of a half hitch. Especially with bushy fly patterns, it may be desirable to align the protruding fibres to the back with the help of the hollow knot finisher. This way it is much more comfortable to attach the head knot behind the eye of the hook. The tapered end allows the tying yarn to slide easily from the knot finisher onto the hook.
The hexagonal cross-section of this THREADER was not chosen by chance. It stays exactly where you place it during tying without rolling away, even if the surface is uneven. So, you always have your tool in hand, and nothing falls to the ground.
