VISION HERO CASSETTE 7/9

PERFECT FOR FLY FISHING IN STILLWATER

Vision's HERO CASSETTE 7/9 combines flexibility and reliability in a fly reel designed primarily for fly fishing in lakes and ponds. This reel offers the perfect combination of ease of use, robust design and practical features that make your everyday life on the water easier. With its well-thought-out cassette system, you can switch between fly lines with different properties in no time at all and adapt optimally to any situation when fishing in Stillwater.

WELL-THOUGHT-OUT CASSETTE SYSTEM FOR MAXIMUM VERSATILITY

The HERO CASSETTE 7/9 comes with three transparent cassettes made of light yet robust plastic. You can easily attach a sticker of the spooled fly line to the smooth outer side of these interchangeable cassettes, or label the cassette directly with a marker, thus keeping track of which fly line with which properties is on which cassette. The cassette system is based on a proven ring mechanism that is already successfully used in the XLV Stillmaniac fly reel. A simple twist is all it takes to release and replace the cassette – without having to remove the ring completely. This not only makes you faster and more efficient when replacing cassettes on the water, but also eliminates the risk of losing small parts on the shore or in tall grass. The open reel frame itself is identical to the standard size #7/9 model from the Hero series and has proven itself over the years in terms of robustness, line capacity and the drag system used.

ROBUST DESIGN WITH HIGH PERFORMANCE

The cassette model also relies on a large-arbor design of the spool, not only offering you increased line pick-up per crank, but also effectively minimising annoying fly line crimping thanks to the large inner diameter. The precise working disc brake system can be finely adjusted and starts gently, ensuring that you have good control when playing fish, even when using fine leaders.

The HERO CASSETTE 7/9 is a reliable, robustly built yet lightweight fly reel that is perfect for beginners and experienced anglers alike, whether you are fly fishing in still water or on many other occasions by the water when you are targeting larger and stronger fish. This fly reel comes in a practical cloth bag with a zip, in which you can safely transport the reel and interchangeable cassettes.
