DOHIKU is a Slovakian company that was founded in 2006 and specialises in the production of high-quality barbless hooks. Founded by fly fishermen Alojz Donoval and Kamil Kubicek, the idea of developing their own barbless hooks came from years of shared experience on the water. Their close friend Igor Hribik, also a passionate angler, was the first to put the hooks through their paces. His feedback played a decisive role in improving the quality and design. The hooks are not simply designed at a desk but are the result of intensive testing on the water and genuine enthusiasm for fly fishing - a lifestyle that unites Alojz, Kamil and Igor.

While many other brands rely on standard hooks from a few manufacturers and then sell them under their own name, DOHIKU deliberately takes a different approach. Here, Slovakian experts design the hooks, which are then manufactured in co-operation with world-renowned factories according to strict specifications. Equipped with hardened and tempered carbon steel, the hooks are extremely durable and resistant. The chemical sharpening also ensures outstanding precision - a decisive advantage for fly fishermen who place the highest demands on their equipment.
