FLOATING MICROCHENILLE from hotfly is a floating chenille, and due to its properties, it is particularly suitable for tying bodies and thoraxes of dry flies and other patterns such as terrestrials, which need corresponding buoyancy in the water. With its 0.8mm you can use this chenille for tying filigree fly patterns also. Furthermore, this chenille is also suitable for the construction of extended bodies. The buoyancy of the FLOATING MICROCHENILLE can also be an advantage for imitations of worms or other stimulating flies, where the appendages and extremities should play as lively as possible in the water. Especially in still waters, the buoyancy of this chenille can breathe life into the various fly patterns. In combination with head beads, jig hooks or other weights you can tie very interesting and creative fly patterns that move very attractively, look extremely lively and are therefore extremely seductive even to sluggish fish. The FLOATING MICROCHENILLE is available in a wide range of great colours, from eye-catching stimulant colours to more subdued and natural shades. You'll find a 200cm strand in each pack.

Hotfly's SQUIRMY CHENILLE NANO is a soft, slightly elastic synthetic cord. It has a very thin diameter (about 1.5mm) and has an extremely captivating movement in water. When wet it takes on an almost "gelatinous" appearance, making it look like something alive in the eyes of the fish. This fly tying material is really very versatile because you can use it to tie dry flies, nymphs and streamers. You can use it to make bodies, legs, extended bodies or small coloured spots. We recommend lightly burning the protruding ends to make it more resistant.

The EGGSTASY CHENILLE is a very innovative 10mm thick synthetic cord that in water takes on an almost "gelatinous" and very attractive appearance. It is mainly used to make large nymphs and streamers. It was born to imitate the pasture that is given to the fish in sport fishing ponds but the uses that can be made of it are really numerous. For example, it can be used effectively to tie the body of boobies or wooly buggers, or to tie imitations of fish eggs.

The BLOB CHENILLE is a cord composed of thousands of synthetic microfilaments that take on a gelatinous appearance in water. In addition to these microfilaments there are small strips of synthetic material that emit silvery reflections in contact with light. This fly tying material is wrapped on the hook to tie bloobs, boobies, F.A.B. and eggs. It is a very soft and even if it was born to be used to tie artificial lake flies, it is also widely used to tie artificial flies for the creek. In fact you can use it to tie large streamers, nymphs or dry flies. The range of colors available make it extremely visible in any light condition.

The WORM CHENILLE PLUS GOLD has a diameter of 3mm. In the water it has an almost gelatinous appearance, making the fish believe that they are looking at something alive. In addition, the countless gold synthetic inserts along its length generate flashes and glows that will attract the fish. This chenille is very soft and its movement in the water is fluid and natural. When it is irradiated by the sun's UV rays, a reaction is generated that intensifies its colours, making them particularly visible to the eyes of the fish. This fly tying material is particularly suitable to tie nymphs and streamers and is very good for both pond and stream fly fishing.

The MOP FLY CHENILLE PRO from hotfly is, as the name suggests, a chenille that is primarily suitable for making the appendages of mop flies. This chenille is perfectly round in cross-section and has a diameter of 6 mm. The chenille strand itself does not consist of a compact, felt-like material, but of very densely woven individual fibres, which give this chenille a full, yet translucent silhouette. When dry, this chenille material may seem a little stiff, but you'll be amazed at how soft and flexible MOP FLY CHENILLE PRO plays once the chenille is wet. This seductive play makes this chenille extremely suitable for worms, leeches, snake flies and other stimulating flies. MOP FLY CHENILLE PRO is available in a wide range of great colours from bright and partly fluorescent to subtle and natural. In each package you will find one strand with 200 cm length.

MOP FLY CHENILLE from hotfly is a chenille with a circular cross-section and a diameter of 4 mm, whose fibres form a dense, compact strand. As the name suggests, it is primarily used to tie mop flies. However, this chenille can also be used to tie worms, leeches and other fly patterns. Compared to the short, pre-cut mop pieces, the MOP FLY CHENILLE has the advantage that you can always cut exactly the length of chenille you need for your artificial flies and are not bound to the given length of the mop pieces. In addition, the fibres of this chenille are firmly welded to the chenille yarn, so that you can cut any length you want without the chenille losing its fibres or disintegrating. You can find MOP FLY CHENILLE in bright signal colours with a fluorescent effect. Each pack contains 200 cm of chenille.

Like almost all fly tying materials, chenille has evolved over the years and many different materials can be found today. The classic chenille is already very versatile because it lends itself very well to many different types of dressing but with the arrival of the latest fly tying materials, the possibilities of use are really endless.

The most classic uses that can be made with this kind of fly tying material are extended bodies for dry flies (see video), nymph bodies such as Montana Stone or San Juan Worm, or you can tie many different types of streamers such as the famous Wooly Bugger.

When using classic chenille or SQUIRMY CHENILLE to make extended body or San Juan Worm, it is best to burn the end slightly to increase resistance, while for GUMMY CHENILLE, being a plastic material, it is preferable to use a drop of UV glue for this purpose.

Modern chenille is characterised by very bright fluorescent colours and some of them react to the UV rays of the sun, making your artificial flies really attractive. The movement is also no less, making it particularly suitable for fishing in lakes where the fish have plenty of time to examine your imitation and to generate the attack of the fish you need to stimulate its predatory instinct.

The brand new EGGSTASY is used to make imitations of eggs, big nymphs and streamers.

Below we leave you with a couple of our fly tying tutorials in which we have used these materials, hoping they will be a cue for your next dressing.
