MOP FLY CHENILLE 6 MM

EXTRA-THICK, SOFT CHENILLE FOR BULKY MOP FLIES

Hotfly's MOP FLY CHENILLE is ideal for tying bulky mop flies and other attractor patterns. With its 6 mm diameter and uniform, round cross-section, it forms an exceptionally dense, compact strand with a soft, voluminous surface.

Compared with the thinner 4 mm version, this chenille allows you to create thicker, more eye-catching fly bodies. It is particularly suitable for larger mop flies and patterns where you want to achieve a deliberately bulky silhouette.

CUSTOM LENGTHS FOR MOP FLIES, WORMS AND LEECHES

The main advantage of MOP FLY CHENILLE over pre-cut mop pieces is the freedom to choose the exact body length. Simply cut the required section and tie it onto the hook shank. This allows you to determine how far the soft chenille body extends beyond the hook and adapt your flies to different hook sizes and patterns.

Another practical feature is that the fibres are permanently bonded to the central core. You can therefore cut the chenille at any point without the ends fraying or the fibre structure coming apart. No additional sealing of the cut ends is required.

Besides traditional mop flies, the material is also suitable for worm and leech imitations. Longer sections create soft, freely moving bodies, while shorter pieces can be used for more compact attractor patterns. The larger diameter produces particularly bulky, clearly defined silhouettes.

FLUORESCENT COLOURS FOR EYE-CATCHING ATTRACTOR FLIES

MOP FLY CHENILLE is available in a selection of bright, highly visible colours with a fluorescent effect. This makes it particularly suitable for mop flies, worm patterns and other attractor flies where you want to incorporate striking colour accents and strong visual attraction.

Each pack contains one 200 cm length of chenille, which you can cut to your preferred lengths for different fly sizes and tying patterns.
