The white areas of the feathers can be dyed very well and besides the bright colours, the blue-metallic shimmer of the hackle tips remains beautifully preserved. Just like the feathers of the golden pheasant, the feathers of the DIAMOND PHEASANT HEAD COMPLETE can be used in many classic and timeless fly patterns such as the legendary Royal Coachman, but also salmon flies, shrimp patterns and streamers. Whether it's a few fibres, small tufts or whole feathers, the high colour contrast of the dark tips and the rest of the feather makes this natural tying material suitable for a variety of applications on a wide range of fly patterns. Of course, you can also use the single-coloured parts of each feather very well for tails, bodies or thorax areas of dry flies and nymphs.
Capes, Saddles and Skins are particularly interesting if you are a fly tyers who tie many artificial flies throughout the year, as they contain a large number of feathers of different types that vary in length and size, so very suitable for tying many different types of dressing.
