The BASIC PLUS wading net from Hotfly combines a classic landing net shape with practical features and a very attractive price-performance ratio. The cleanly finished wooden frame feels pleasantly light in the hand and weighs only around 280 grams. This makes the net particularly suitable for fly anglers who spend a lot of time on the move and prefer uncomplicated, functional gear.

With its slightly elongated hoop shape and comparatively deep net bag, the BASIC PLUS landing net is very well suited for typical trout and grayling rivers. At the same time, the dimensions still offer enough capacity when a larger fish ends up in the net.

RUBBER-COATED NET WITH PRACTICAL ADVANTAGES

This wading net is equipped with a rubber-coated net. The soft, fine-meshed and knotless material is much gentler on the fish’s sensitive protective slime layer and is therefore especially well suited for modern catch & release fishing.

In practical use, the rubber-coated mesh also offers several advantages. Flies can be removed much more easily and are far less likely to become tangled in the net – particularly useful when fishing multiple flies or barbed patterns. At the same time, the material absorbs very little water, allowing the net to dry quickly without dripping excessively or developing unpleasant odours after fishing.
