Wading boots ALPINE DIVER Made in Italy

Note: The indicated wading boot size already considers the space required for the neoprene socks of your waders. If you wear a shoe size 43, for example, we recommend that you also take wading boots in this size.

ALPINE DIVER WADING BOOT

THE VERY BEST OF ITALIAN CRAFTSMANSHIP

After two years of rigorous testing in the most challenging terrain of alpine streams, Hotfly is proud to present its first wading boot: the Alpine Diver. Designed for those who spend a lot of time on the water, this boot is the ideal companion to tackle any condition, ensuring maximum comfort and paramount safety.

The Alpine Diver embodies the excellence of Made in Italy, combining the fine craftsmanship of Italian master shoemakers with Hotfly's fly fishing experience. The result is a wading boot that offers an unrivalled combination of comfort, ease of fit and robustness, reflecting the quality and innovation that only Italian craftsmanship can guarantee.

SUPERIOR DESIGN AND COMFORT

A considerable amount of time was spent creating a unique internal last for the Alpine Diver, specifically designed to ensure the best possible fit and exceptional comfort. This last is designed to fit perfectly on medium/large feet, with a wide toe box that also comfortably accommodates the neoprene socks of your waders.

A key element of the design is the wide boot opening, which makes it extremely easy to put them on. The tongue, which is divided into two sections and designed to fold easily, makes it much easier to insert the foot. In addition, the collar around the tongue is designed to open exceptionally wide, further helping to simplify and speed up to put on and get off the boot.

Moreover, the back of the boot is designed to be lower than traditional standards, a feature that brings significant benefits both to put on the boots and during use. This solution contributes to improving the comfort and functionality of the boots in several ways:

The lower rear part facilitates the insertion of the foot into the boot, making the fitting operation easier and faster. This reduction in the height of the rear part reduces the obstacle that can create friction or excessive pressure on the heel when inserting the foot. This way you can put on these boots smoother and less stressful.
During walking, a lower back allows more freedom of movement in the heel area, reducing the risk of chafing or irritation. This configuration allows the foot to better adapt to changes in terrain and natural walking movements. Especially for those who frequently walk over rough terrain, this design contributes to a less strenuous and more comfortable walk.

Alpine Diver wading boots are equipped with high-quality galvanised hooks. The Easy Roller ball bearing system provides optimal lace glide, protecting them from premature wear. This system minimises friction and ensures quick and effortless lacing. Galvanised hooks not only offer excellent corrosion resistance, but are also highly resistant to weathering and wear, ensuring a long service life even under heavy use.

An additional advantage is the special lace lock hooks, which facilitate a perfect and stable closure. These hooks are designed to hold the laces in place, preventing them from coming loose during activity. This closure system contributes greatly to safety, ensuring that the laces do not slip out and remain securely fastened even during the most demanding hikes. In this way, you can concentrate fully on fishing, without having to worry about constantly adjusting your boots or dealing with unforeseen problems caused by loose laces.

ROBUSTNESS

The Alpine Diver is designed to excel in the most extreme conditions using the highest quality materials. The high strength microfibre upper is one of the features that contribute to its exceptional robustness. This material is chosen for its resistance to tearing and abrasion, ensuring that the boots maintain their integrity and performance even after prolonged use in harsh environments.

For further protection, the Alpine Diver is equipped with a protective TPU band that wraps around the entire lower part of the upper. This rand is designed to safeguard the upper from bumps and scratches that may occur during use on rough terrain. Its presence not only increases the overall robustness of the boot, but also helps to prolong its lifespan, preventing everyday stresses from compromising its structure and effectiveness.

Because of its solid construction and the robustness of the materials used, the Alpine Diver is certainly not the lightest wading boot on the market. However, this weight is a clear indication of its ability to offer unparalleled stability and superior durability. This increased robustness allows the boot to tackle challenging terrain and maintain excellent performance over the long term, while ensuring maximum comfort.

The boot's rigidity provides excellent ankle support, effectively preventing twisting and spraining. This makes it an ideal choice for tackling the roughest terrain with confidence and stability. Each step becomes more secure, offering you maximum support and protection in your fishing adventures.

The combination of a high-quality microfibre upper and a protective TPU band makes the Alpine Diver ideal for those who fish intensively in harsh environments. This boot is designed for reliability and long-lasting performance, allowing you to focus fully on your activity without worrying about where you put your feet.

We can recommend the ALPINE DIVER primarily for use in fresh water. In aggressive salt water, the metal parts of the eyelets can corrode.

Please note: Due to the natural flexing motion when walking, the rubber rand may occasionally separate from the upper at a small, localised point in the flex area of the wading boot, as the special adhesive is desied to give slightly to accommodate the different stretch characteristics of the materials. This is completely normal, remains localised and does not affect the function, stability or service life of the wading boot.

THE OUTSOLE

The Alpine Diver wading boot features high-quality soles, available in both felt and Vibram rubber, to give you excellent grip on a variety of terrains. The felt sole, increased to 12 mm, significantly increases its durability. Both sole variants can be equipped with studs, allowing you to further increase grip. To ensure long life and optimum performance, we also offer a resoling service on the Alpine Diver. You can replace the worn sole directly with us, ensuring that your boots will continue to offer you support and reliability in the long term.

This wading boot is entirely Made in Italy and combines durability and comfort thanks to premium materials and Italian craftsmanship. Although it may not be the cheapest boot in our product range, its durability and build quality prove that the price is surprisingly low. It is an unmissable bargain for those who seek the best in their fly-fishing adventures and want to have a reliable companion by their side.

The wading boots come with a small pouch containing 2 D-rings.
They are used to create a secure attachment point for the gravel guard hook of your waders.

Installation:

Remove the laces from your wading boot.
Thread the laces through the fabric loop attached to the D-ring.
Re-lace the boot as usual.

Correct positioning:

Put on your waders and wading boots.
Pull the gravel guards down over the boots.
Check where the gravel guard hook naturally rests on the boot.
Attach the D-ring slightly below that point.

This creates a slight tension once the gravel guard is hooked in, ensuring it stays securely and reliably in place at all times.
