Our tippet PREMIUM MICRO RINGS allow the convenient replacement of the tippet without having to change the entire main leader. As soon as the tip becomes too short due to the flies being changed, you can simply remove the old tip from the micro ring and attach a new tippet. This saves time and money, especially if you use tapered leaders.

By using the premium tippet micro rings, you are extremely flexible, as you can change the diameter of the tippet as needed, without having to replace the entire main leader. In addition, leader materials having different properties can be reliably combined, such as e.g. nylon and fluorocarbon - a direct connection would be problematic as fluorocarbon cuts the nylon.

Hotfly's PREMIUM MICRO RINGS are made in Japan and have been specifically designed for fly fishing. These tippet rings are characterized by an extremely smooth surface and perfectly rounded edges to ensure the highest possible knot strength of the leader/tippet and to avoid they are cut.

The micro rings are made of a corrosion-resistant and heavy-duty special brass alloy in black-nickel finish and are micro polished at the end of the production process. They are free of seams and solder joints. The sum of material properties, surface treatment and shape ensure that the PREMIUM MICRO RINGS float smoothly due to the surface tension of the water.

The PREMIUM MICRO RINGS are threaded on a practical safety pin to facilitate the attachment of the main leader and the tippet. Since especially the small sizes of the tippet micro rings are tiny, we strongly recommend that you release the ring from the safety pin only after you have attached it to the main leader.
