About Andreas
Product Manager

Fly fisherman & fly tyer
Job: Product Manager
Hobbies: Road cycling, gardening
Andreas Riedl, who was born in 1979 in the South Tyrolean city of Merano and still lives there, started fishing at the age of 11 and caught his first trout in a fishing pond. Open to different fishing techniques with artificial lures, he finally took up fly fishing in 2003, which has fascinated and inspired him most ever since. His interest in the aquatic habitat is not limited to purely (fly) fishing aspects but encompasses all ecological considerations, and so the topic of water runs like a red thread through his private and professional life. His inquisitive and analytical way of wanting to understand the connections and ‘the bigger picture behind it all’ makes him the ‘engineer’ of the team. Andreas is not only an excellent fly fisherman and fly tyer but also a gifted copywriter who enriches the team with his openness to new trends in fishing.
Markus and Andreas got to know each other through their intensive voluntary work in the fishing scene in South Tyrol. He kept ‘pestering’ 😉 Markus with so many supposed and actual innovative product ideas that the latter quickly realised how valuable this input could be for the company. However, as he didn’t have the time to pursue all these ideas himself and turn them into concrete projects, he finally hired Andreas in 2021 to do just that.
Away from work, Andreas likes to get on the saddle of his road bike, although he is a pure leisure rider and has no competitive ambitions. Nevertheless, he sometimes goes the extra mile, simply because it’s fun, beautiful and rewarding.
In his role as Product Manager, he manages the Lurevo project, is responsible for creating the German and English texts, takes care of search engine optimisation in German, English and Spanish, and looks after the company’s influencers.
