FINE ICE DUBBING DISPENSER

10 COLOURS OF SYNTHETIC DUBBING FOR SPARKLING REFLECTIONS AND FLASH

The hotfly FINE ICE DUBBING DISPENSER contains 10 vibrant colours of synthetic dubbing, featuring fine, sparkling fibres that add attractive flashes of light to your flies. This material is particularly well suited to tying nymphs, emergers and streamers, but can also be used to create bodies and thoraxes on dry flies.

The reflective fibres catch the light, producing subtle flashes and contrasting highlights that make your fly patterns more visually distinctive. You can use this effect to create brightly coloured attractor flies or introduce just a hint of sparkle into more natural-looking imitations without dramatically changing their appearance.

USE IT PURE FOR BRILLIANT FLASH OR BLEND IT FOR SUBTLE HIGHLIGHTS

One of the main advantages of FINE ICE DUBBING is its versatility: you can use it on its own or blend it with other dubbing materials. Used pure, it produces bodies and thoraxes with pronounced reflective highlights, making it particularly interesting for attractor nymphs and streamers.

For a more understated effect, simply mix a small amount into natural or synthetic dubbing. This introduces fine flashes of light throughout the other fibres while largely preserving the colour and texture of the base material. It is an excellent way to add subtle sparkle to a fly without making the overall pattern excessively flashy.

EASY TO APPLY AND BRUSH OUT FOR EXTRA VOLUME

FINE ICE DUBBING can be applied to the tying thread to build bodies and thoraxes, adjusting the amount of material to suit the size of the fly and the desired effect. Its fine fibres make it suitable for relatively small body sections, while using a little more material allows you to create a fuller profile.

Once the dubbing has been wrapped around the hook shank, you can gently brush the body or thorax with the hook side of a piece of Velcro. This pulls some fibres free from the surface, creating a more open, irregular texture. The result is a fly with additional volume, more widely distributed flashes and exposed fibres that can move in the water.

10 COLOURS, NEATLY ORGANISED AND READY TO USE

The FINE ICE DUBBING DISPENSER features 10 compartments containing 1 gram of dubbing each, providing a total of 10 grams of material. Each compartment holds the same quantity typically supplied in a standard individual dubbing packet.

Compared with purchasing ten separate packets, the dispenser offers a practical, cost-effective way to build up your colour selection. The separate compartments keep the different shades organised and easily accessible, allowing you to select the right colour quickly or experiment with new dubbing blends at the tying bench.
