When Euro nymphing, it is essential that you can constantly see your tippet, as you can reliably recognise from its behaviour whether your nymphs are drifting naturally and close to the bottom or not. In addition, any suspicious movement of the tippet will indicate even the slightest take before you even feel it in the rod. In this way, you can immediately set the hook even before the fish has recognised the cheat and spit out the nymph again.

The HIGH VIZ WAX from hotfly is a special sighter wax that you can use to individually colour parts of your Euronymph tippet in order to have the optimum visual aid for every spot and every situation and thus keep an eye on the movements of your tippet. The high-density wax is quick and easy to apply to the tippet. You can also choose from a range of different colours so that you can select the sighter wax with the best colour contrast depending on the background, water colour and incidence of light. The intense colours are highly visible are most of them are fluorescent, too.

Of course, you can also apply several markers in different colours to the tippet at the same time so that one of the sighters is always just above the water surface, regardless of whether you are fishing a shallow runner or a deep pool.

In certain situations, when the fish are more actively picking particles from the current in mid-water and not at the bottom, you can use the HIGH VIZ WAX to mark this depth on the tippet and thus offer your nymphs at exactly this depth with every new drift.

If you want to change the marking, you can wipe the wax off with a cloth. Due to the high visibility, sparing application is sufficient. Do not store the sighter waxes in excessively high temperatures (e.g. a car in the blazing sun), as this changes the consistency and thus also impairs the application of the wax.
