GUIDELINE ULBC RAIN JACKET – CHARCOAL

The ULBC RAIN JACKET from Guideline is a lightweight, fully waterproof rain jacket designed for fly anglers who stay mobile and refuse to be limited by changing weather conditions. Weighing just 275 g and featuring a very compact pack size, it is an ideal companion for long hikes, travel, or minimalist fishing setups where every gram matters.

Constructed from Scale™ CORE 2.5-layer ripstop nylon, the jacket combines reliable weather protection with comfortable breathability. The 10,000 mm waterproof rating withstands sustained rainfall, while the 5,000 g/m²/24h breathability allows excess body moisture to escape — a crucial factor during active fishing, frequent shoreline moves, or fast-paced hikes along the water.

COMPACT PACKABILITY – ALWAYS WITH YOU

The ULBC RAIN JACKET can be packed completely into its own chest pocket, creating a small, compact bundle that fits easily into a backpack, sling pack, or even carry-on luggage. Especially when travelling or facing uncertain weather conditions, having a fully functional rain jacket ready at hand provides reassurance without adding bulk.

The ergonomically shaped cut with articulated sleeves supports a natural casting motion. The jacket follows your movements closely without restriction and remains comfortable even during dynamic activity.

RELIABLE PROTECTION IN WIND AND RAIN

The integrated elastic-bound hood moves naturally with your head and provides effective protection against rain, wind, and insects. Elastic sleeve cuffs and an adjustable drawcord hem help seal out drafts. The slightly extended rear hem offers additional coverage over the seat area — a thoughtful detail when wading or sitting on wet ground.

The splash-proof YKK AquaGuard® front zipper is backed by an internal storm flap to prevent water penetration in the front area. The generously sized zipped chest pocket securely stores a fly box, leader material, or other essential small items.

FUNCTIONAL DETAILS FOR EVERYDAY FISHING

A durable Hypalon docking station allows secure attachment of pliers or tools. On the right shoulder, a Velcro fly patch provides space for drying wet flies or adding custom patches. Additionally, a sturdy fabric loop at the back of the neck allows for convenient landing net attachment — practical and unobtrusive at the same time.

SCALE™ CORE – BALANCED PERFORMANCE

Scale™ CORE represents a carefully balanced combination of waterproofness, breathability, and durability. The outer surface is treated with a PFAS-free DWR finish, ensuring that no intentionally added fluorocarbons enter the environment or waterways.

The fabrics used are bluesign® approved and OEKO-TEX® certified. This functional and ultra-light rain jacket therefore meets high standards of environmental responsibility and material quality — without compromising performance or protection.

The ULBC RAIN JACKET is a technically refined, functional, and responsibly produced rain jacket for fly anglers who value freedom of movement, low weight, and dependable weather protection.
