The ALPINE DIVER MESH fly vest comes in an unobtrusive grey colour and with its modern, explicitly short cut is also very suitable for deep wading by reliably keeping all your equipment dry. The lightweight and very air-permeable mesh fabric keeps you cool even on hot days, is very comfortable to wear and dries quickly. The pockets as well as the shoulder section are made of an abrasion-resistant and hard-wearing nylon fabric, which is water-repellent thanks to a DWR coating. Particularly stressed parts and areas are double-rowed. The soft collar made of pleasant and stretchy fabric and the padded shoulder area provide additional wearing comfort, even if your fly vest is well filled and correspondingly heavy.

FRONT SIDE

All front pockets are centrally located and are therefore very easy to reach and pleasant to use. The ALPINE DIVER MESH fly vest has 2 large, spacious vertical front pockets with Velcro fastening, that can also hold several large fly boxes, and 2 additional pockets for medium-sized fly boxes.

The vertical pockets also make it much less likely that your fly boxes will fall out, even when the pocket is open. The cover flaps of these pockets are sized accordingly, and the Velcro closure is positioned so that the pockets close well with any filling. The easy-grip tool tabs attached to the top flaps make it easier to open the pockets with one hand.

In addition, you will find a chest pocket on the front right with a total of 4 separate compartments and side openings. This pocket is ideal for safe and orderly storage of your leader spools. The small side openings make it easy to pull off the leader material from the spool without having to open the pocket. This means you can change your tippets quickly and easily without having to fiddle with the spools, and everything stays tidy without any annoying line clutter.

On the upper front of the vest, you’ll find retractors with clips on both sides for attaching nipples, scissors, clamps or hook pliers. There are also 2 tool tabs, each with 4 holes for attaching even more accessories using clips or hooks.

At the front left, there is a generously sized Velcro fastener (fleece part) to which a ribbed foam patch is already attached for storing and drying your used artificial flies. Of course, you can also attach all other accessories to this Velcro pad with the help of a Velcro strip or attach your flies directly.

The 2 centrally positioned fabric straps are ideal for attaching accessories, such as fishing clamps. You can also loop in the tools attached to the elastic bands so that they stay nicely on your body and don't get caught anywhere, even when you move or bend forward.

In the lower part of the vest, you will also find 2 practical elastic bottle holders for floatants, silicone and the like. The perforated flap allows you to securely attach the bottle upside down to the fly vest, so you can use it quickly and easily with one hand.

With the fabric loop on the lower right edge and the Velcro strap on the upper left, you have a practical rod holder that reliably holds your rod. This way you have both hands free on the water when you want to change your flies and don't have to awkwardly tuck your rod under your arm or between your legs, and you don't have to put the rod and reel in the dirt or in the water when wading.

In addition to a short YKK zip at the front, the fly vest also has an adjustable clip so that you can put it on and close it over your shirt or T-shirt just as easily as over a jacket.

INSIDE

On the inside there are 4 large zipped pockets, 2 in the hip area and 2 in the chest area.

In the hip area, the left pocket is transparent and designed to be splash and dust proof, and can withstand even a short water bath, so that the contents remain dry even in the event of an accidental slip.

The 2 pockets in the chest area have a large opening and are very airy thanks to the mesh fabric. These pockets are ideal for flat items, such as spools, leaders, strike indicators, etc. An extremely practical detail is the microfibre glasses cleaning cloth attached to an elastic cord in the right pocket.

All zips on the inside are made by YKK and are equipped with non-slip zip extensions, so that they can be opened and closed very easily and simply, even with gloves or clammy fingers.

BACK SIDE

The back of the ALPINE DIVER MESH fly vest also features several practical details. In the area of the collar, there is a generous and sturdy locker loop that allows the vest to be carried and hung up without the stuff in the pockets getting out of hand. Just below this is a D-ring, which is very suitable for attaching the landing net.

The two pockets in the shoulder area extend across the entire width of the vest and are equipped with contrariwise YKK zips that prevent the pockets from opening accidentally. The non-slip zip extensions make it easy to open and close even with gloves or clammy fingers. The bag with the upper zip is made entirely of mesh fabric, so that clothing such as jackets can dry quickly and easily. It is also extremely spacious and extends over the entire back. The pocket on top is very suitable for provisions, especially bottles, because of its shape.

A very clever idea is the fabric tape with loop attached to the lower edge of this fly vest with a clip. This loop is attached to the belt of your waders and prevents your fly vest from overhanging at the front when it is full and therefore heavy.
