GUIDELINE TRAVEL ROD BAG

With the TRAVEL ROD BAG, Guideline offers a well-thought-out transport solution for fly anglers who want to carry their rods, reels and accessories safely and in an organised manner. Whether heading to your local river, remote backcountry waters or travelling abroad, this bag combines reliable protection with smart internal organisation in a compact, travel-ready format.

With an internal length of 78 cm, the bag accommodates 4-piece single-hand rods up to 9'9" as well as 6-piece double-hand rods up to 14'. Despite its robust construction, it remains easy to handle at just 2.1 kg empty weight.

ROBUST PROTECTION FOR SENSITIVE GEAR

The semi-rigid outer construction is reinforced with integrated EVA impact panels. These absorb pressure and shock loads, reliably protecting your equipment from external impacts – whether in a car boot, overhead compartment or during airport handling.

The main compartment opens via a durable, wrap-around zipper. The wide opening provides clear visibility and easy access to all your gear. The zipper pullers are designed so they can be secured with a padlock if required – a practical feature for air or long-distance travel.

CUSTOMISABLE INTERNAL ORGANISATION

Inside, a soft lining adds extra protection for sensitive rod blanks and reels. Adjustable dividers allow you to tailor the layout depending on whether you are carrying multiple rods, larger reels or additional accessories.

The storage capacity accommodates up to six single-hand rods or four double-hand rods, along with reels, spare spools, fly boxes and other gear. Two adjustable elastic rod retainers secure the rods in place and prevent shifting during transport.

SMART STORAGE IN THE LID

On the inside of the lid, you’ll find three large, flat zippered mesh pockets in varying sizes. These are ideal for leaders, polyleaders, running lines, tools or smaller accessories that benefit from separate, organised storage.

Externally, the bag features a generously sized flat zippered pocket for documents or quick-access items. On both sides of this pocket, durable webbing attachment loops allow you to secure additional gear.

COMFORTABLE FOR TRAVEL

The TRAVEL ROD BAG can be carried using the sturdy top handle or the adjustable, detachable shoulder strap. The strap features a non-slip silicone insert to ensure stability and comfort during longer walks.

An integrated address holder simplifies identification during travel and adds an extra level of security when checking luggage.

STRUCTURED, SECURE AND TRAVEL-READY

The TRAVEL ROD BAG combines a durable semi-rigid construction with flexible interior organisation and practical, angler-focused details. It protects high-quality fly rods and reels from pressure and shock while ensuring order and quick access – a reliable solution for anglers who regularly travel with their gear.
