The NYMPH EXT IM12 fly fishing rod from loomis & franklin is ideal if you are looking for a multi-purpose rod that is well suited to the different situations you may encounter.
This model is in fact equipped with a rod section of approximately 17.5cm inside the handle that transforms this rod from a 9'6 to a 10'1. The shorter size is certainly suitable for dry fly fishing or streamer fishing, while the longer size will allow you to effectively practice modern nymph fishing. The fact that it does not have a small independent section but instead has a retractable section incorporated in the handle makes changing from one size to another very quick and easy and you will not run the risk of losing the small extension section.
The blank is thin and light, with an action that is not overly fast. This is a typical feature of the particular IM12 carbon. The handle has a full wells grip and is made of natural cork with the addition of hybrid cork at critical points to increase strength.
The reel seat is made of anodised aluminium with a satin black finish. For a better weight balance the reel seat has been mounted upside down, i.e. the fixing screw slides from front to back.
The rod guide are single foot and of high quality, all in stainless steel to resist corrosion. The stripper is double foot and covered in SIC.
