The HERO 95 SINK 3 TIP is a fly line in which only the first 3 metres sink at a rate of 3 IPS (3 inches per second, i.e. around 7.5 cm per second). The fly line, available in the medium line classes, is therefore particularly interesting for anglers who want to offer light streamers efficiently in deeper water, for example in larger rivers but also in Stillwater or on the coast. As only the tip sinks and the rest of the line floats, this line is much easier to lift from the water when casting and you keep good control of the drift as the line is easy to mend. It has a 9.5 metre long head with a classic WF taper and a balanced ratio of front and back taper. As the head is not too long and its weight is higher than the specified Aftma class, you will be able to load your rod already with little line out. This means that you can also manage very well in tight conditions and need fewer false casts for longer distances. This fly line is also ideal for water-anchored casts such as roll casts and various spey casts. Moreover, the higher weight of the head is also ideal for casting streamers well and precise. The so-called handling line forms a graduated transition between the thicker and heavier head section and the thinner running line, making this line a little more forgiving when casting and therefore easier to handle. These properties make the HERO 95 SINK 3 TIP ideal for all those who want to start with light and medium streamer fishing, but it will also convince experienced fly fishermen.

This 27-metre-long sink tip fly line has a braided core, which reduces the stretch to a minimum and therefore gives you optimum contact when fishing your streamer. The sink tip is kept in an inconspicuous dark olive-green colour, while the floating part of the head is a highly visible yellow, which in turn forms a high contrast to the black running line so that you can easily determine the point for optimum loading of your fly rod. There are factory-welded loops at both ends for quick and easy looping in of the leader and backing.
