VISION TACTICAL DRY FLY FLY LINE

SPECIAL TAPER FOR DELICATE DRY FLY FISHING

The TACTICAL DRY FLY fly line from Vision has been specifically designed for situations where an extremely precise and delicate presentation is required. When fishing for cautious trout in clear water or targeting selective fish, the way the fly lands often makes all the difference – and this is exactly where this line truly excels.

The long and very fine front taper ensures that the energy dissipates evenly as the line unrolls. This allows the fly to land softly and under full control on the water’s surface – ideal for fishing with CDC flies, small mayfly imitations and other delicate patterns. Large, heavily dressed dry flies are not the primary focus of this line – instead, it is designed for light and technical dry fly fishing.

SMOOTH CASTING THANKS TO THE HANDLING ZONE

The TACTICAL DRY FLY features a 10-meter head that offers excellent control during casting. Between the head and the running line there is a dedicated handling zone that acts as a transition area between the two sections of the line.

This smooth transition ensures a more even transfer of energy during the cast. As a result, the line remains more stable in the air, rolls out more smoothly and enables a harmonious turnover of leader and fly. This balanced line design becomes especially noticeable when making precise casts to rising fish.

BOLZI™ COATING FOR EXTREME SLICKNESS

The line features the modern Bolzi™ microsphere coating, which provides an exceptionally smooth surface and excellent shooting performance. This allows the line to run through the guides with minimal friction and supports calm, controlled casting.

At the same time, the coating ensures very high buoyancy. The line floats high and stable on the water – all the way to the tip. Combined with the polyurethane-based construction, these characteristics remain consistent even under changing weather conditions.

Another advantage: the TACTICAL DRY FLY is PVC-free, making it a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fly lines. It is manufactured in the United Kingdom, where Vision maintains very high quality standards.

THOUGHTFUL DETAILS

The braided core minimizes line stretch and ensures direct, precise energy transfer during casting. For quick and easy rigging, the line features extra small and discreet loops on both ends, allowing backing and leader to be attached easily via loop-to-loop connections.
