HOTFLY FLUO GLOW CHENILLE

PHOSPHORESCENT CHENILLE FOR EYE-CATCHING FLY PATTERNS

The HOTFLY FLUO GLOW CHENILLE is a special phosphorescent chenille with a glow-in-the-dark effect. The material absorbs light energy and subsequently releases it as a visible glow. Simply expose the chenille to sunlight, a torch or a UV lamp to charge it. This allows you to add an extra visual trigger to your fly patterns, particularly noticeable in low-light conditions.

This glowing effect can be especially interesting when fly fishing at dusk, at night or in deeper water. The chenille can also be used to create highly visible attractor patterns for fishing in murky water. The brightness and duration of the afterglow depend on how much light the material has absorbed and the surrounding light conditions.

IDEAL FOR STREAMERS, BLOBS, BOOBIES AND FABs

The FLUO GLOW CHENILLE features a flat core with fibres approximately 15 mm long. When wrapped around the hook shank, it creates a soft, voluminous body, making it particularly suitable for streamers and eye-catching stillwater fly patterns.

This chenille is also an interesting choice for popular stillwater patterns such as Blobs, Boobies and FABs. You can also use it for bulky chenille nymphs and egg imitations. The long fibres allow you to build substantial fly bodies with just a few wraps.

ACTIVATE THE AFTERGLOW WITH LIGHT

To take advantage of the glow-in-the-dark effect, briefly expose your finished fly to a suitable light source before fishing. A UV torch is particularly convenient for charging the phosphorescent material quickly. The chenille will then continue to glow without further illumination. You can recharge it whenever necessary.
