MICROFLASH DUBBING DISPENSER

SYNTHETIC DUBBING WITH INTENSE LIGHT REFLECTIONS

The MICROFLASH DUBBING DISPENSER from Hotfly contains 12 different shades of synthetic dubbing with highly reflective fibres. These fibres catch and reflect light, adding eye-catching highlights to your fly patterns. The material is suitable for tying bodies and thoraxes of dry flies, emergers, nymphs and streamers.

You can use MICROFLASH DUBBING on its own to create intensely shimmering body sections. Alternatively, blending just a few fibres with natural or other synthetic dubbings produces subtle light reflections. This allows you to adjust the intensity of the shimmer to suit each fly pattern.

FROM COMPACT BODIES TO SHAGGY THORAXES

With a little dubbing wax, MICROFLASH DUBBING can be applied to the tying thread and twisted into an even dubbing noodle. For slim, compact fly bodies, use a small amount of material and twist it tightly. A looser application produces fuller, slightly shaggy thoraxes.

After winding the dubbing onto the hook, you can gently brush it out with a dubbing brush or a piece of Velcro. This draws individual fibres out of the wraps, creating a loose, slightly mobile texture. It adds volume to the fly and makes the shimmering fibres more noticeable. Particularly on nymphs, the protruding fibres can also suggest the legs of an insect.

12 COLOURS IN A PRACTICAL DUBBING DISPENSER

The dispenser contains 12 separate compartments, each holding 1 g of dubbing, giving you a total of 12 g of material. This is equivalent to twelve individual 1 g dubbing packets.

The organised storage system makes it easy to select and combine different shades. You can take the material directly from each compartment and always have a versatile colour selection at hand. The dispenser also offers excellent value for money compared to buying each colour separately.
