The WADE PRO CARBON is a lightweight, foldable and height-adjustable Made-in-Italy wading staff from Hotfly. Whether you're exploring unfamiliar rivers, crossing fast currents or fishing in coloured water, it helps you assess depth and riverbed conditions before every step, improving stability and giving you greater confidence during even the most demanding crossings.

By probing the riverbed ahead of you, the staff allows you to detect hidden drop-offs, large submerged rocks and sudden changes in depth before committing your weight. Sometimes all it takes is an algae-covered rock, an unexpected hole or a stronger current to lose your footing and turn a perfect day on the water into an unpleasant experience.

The WADE PRO CARBON is built almost entirely from high-modulus carbon fibre, combining exceptionally low weight with outstanding stiffness and strength. Weighing just 220 g, you'll hardly notice you're carrying a wading staff until the moment you need it.

Starting from the handle, all sections are made from 100% high-modulus carbon. Only the lower section, which is exposed to the highest impacts, combines 80% carbon with 20% fibreglass for increased durability. Precision-machined Ergal 7075 aluminium ferrules ensure a rigid and reliable connection, even under heavy loads.

Thanks to its generous 20 cm adjustment range, the staff can be adjusted between 111 and 131 cm to suit both your height and the conditions you're fishing. The QuickLock system allows the desired length to be adjusted continuously and locked securely in just seconds.

COMPACT TO CARRY, READY WHEN YOU NEED IT

When folded, the WADE PRO CARBON measures just 40 cm, making it exceptionally easy to carry. It comes supplied with a durable Cordura holster featuring a generously sized belt loop that attaches quickly and securely to your wading belt.

This allows you to carry the staff throughout the day without holding it in your hand or storing it inside your backpack. While fishing or walking between pools, it remains neatly out of the way, yet as soon as conditions demand extra support, it can be deployed within seconds and packed away just as quickly afterwards.

The ergonomic cork and EVA foam handle provides a secure and comfortable grip, even with wet hands. The lightweight, breathable Plume wrist strap helps prevent the staff from slipping from your hand during difficult crossings.

For additional security, an elastic coiled lanyard with carabiner is included, allowing you to attach the staff securely to your waders or wading belt. Should it slip from your hand, it remains safely attached instead of disappearing downstream.

SECURE FOOTING ON ANY RIVERBED

The removable rubber tip is ideal for roads, paths and other hard surfaces, protecting the staff while providing secure traction on your way to the river.

Once you're in the water, the rubber tip can be removed in seconds to reveal the durable tungsten tip. It bites securely into rocky riverbeds and delivers excellent grip even on smooth or algae-covered rocks, helping you maintain balance and confidence while wading. The plastic basket can also be removed whenever required.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE WADE PRO CARBON

The WADE PRO CARBON consists of four sections. The two lower sections are connected using precision-machined Ergal 7075 aluminium ferrules.

Next, extend the first telescopic section until the metal locking pin clicks securely into place.

The upper telescopic section can then be adjusted continuously between 111 and 131 cm. Finally, secure the chosen length using the QuickLock system.

SAFETY INFORMATION

The WADE PRO CARBON provides additional stability while wading and helps you assess water depth, riverbed conditions and potential hazards more effectively. It is designed as a support aid and is not intended to carry your full body weight or to move rocks or other heavy objects.

Before each use, ensure that the QuickLock system is correctly adjusted and securely locked. It must not slip when downward pressure is applied.

Also make sure that all sections are fully assembled or locked into place and that the internal tension cord keeps every section securely connected.

Inspect the wading staff before every use. Do not use it if you notice cracks, fractures or any other signs of damage.
