CCS GAME CHANGER CHENILLE

DENSE CHENILLE FOR BULKY STREAMERS WITH NATURAL SILHOUETTES

Hotfly's CCS GAME CHANGER CHENILLE has been specially developed for tying bulky streamers and realistic baitfish imitations. It consists of fine, densely packed fibres interspersed with iridescent flash fibres. This creates full, evenly shaped fly bodies with subtle reflections that change with the angle of the light.

The distinctive fibre structure allows you to create full-bodied streamers with a clearly defined silhouette. Once the material has been tied in, it can be shaped to imitate the head, back and belly of a small baitfish.

IDEAL FOR GAME CHANGER STREAMERS AND ARTICULATED FLY PATTERNS

CCS GAME CHANGER CHENILLE can be wrapped directly around the hook shank or used on Articulated Shanks. This makes it particularly suitable for multi-segmented, articulated Game Changer streamers, as well as traditional single-hook streamers.

When tying, wrap the chenille closely and evenly around the hook or shank, sweeping the fibres backwards after each turn. This prevents them from becoming trapped beneath subsequent wraps and produces an evenly dense fly body.

Once tied in, you can trim the fibres with scissors to achieve the desired body shape. This allows you to create anything from slim, streamlined baitfish imitations to broader, deep-bodied streamers. On articulated patterns, the individual segments retain their freedom of movement, while the chenille creates a continuous, natural-looking body profile.

CUSTOM CHENILLE SYSTEM – CREATE YOUR OWN COLOURS

CCS GAME CHANGER CHENILLE is part of Hotfly's Custom Chenille System (CCS). With the matching Fly Tying Marker Felt Pens, you can custom-colour the chenille permanently. This is particularly useful when tying baitfish imitations, allowing you to create dark backs, lighter bellies or carefully placed colour accents.

The matching colour markers are available separately. Instead of buying a different chenille for every colour combination, you can colour the material to suit your needs. This reduces the amount of material you need to keep in stock, saves money and gives you greater freedom when designing realistic or eye-catching streamers.
