Tungsten coneheads are mainly used to tie streamers. They fit on the hook like a normal tungsten beads, but unlike classic beads, tungsten coneheads are much heavier, and can sink the artificial fly much faster. Another aspect for which these tungsten ballasts are highly appreciated is their conical shape, which is able to offer excellent hydrodynamics, minimizing the resistance with water during fishing.
