This has the advantage that the tying thread remains supple and does not fray, even if you split it to make dubbing strands. In addition, this tying thread is only lightly twisted so that it lies wonderfully flat against the hook shank with every wrap. The CLASSIC WAXED THREAD comes on a 220m spool, so it's a yarn for real frequent fly tyers. In 105 denier - 8/0, this tying thread is primarily suitable for medium-sized fly patterns. The medium diameter makes it ideal for tying in delicate natural tying materials, but also foam parts, as it does not cut them. This tying thread is very tear-resistant with a breaking strength of 754 grams.
