Midges imitate flies that belong to the family of the chironomids. These Midges are an interesting imitation in late autumn and especially in winter for our water-dwellers. First and foremost, graylings can be outwitted in the cold season often only with Midges.

There are different lifecycles of the Chironomids that are interesting for fly fishermen: Emerger, adult animals and spinner. In addition to the Midges you will find also little Mayflies in this fly category.
