The classically shaped fly line with DT taper, i.e. an evenly shaped body and tapered tips on both sides, is still very popular today. Especially when fly fishing with dry flies, DT lines allow an extremely delicate and precise presentation of the artificial fly. But smaller nymphs can also be fished very well with DT lines.
With the XP SENSE DT Loomis&Franklin presents a classically tapered floating fly line, but with all the features and details of modern fly lines. The line coating is extremely light and thus ensures a highly buoyant line that can be discreetly lifted from the water. The surface is extremely smooth, which minimises friction between the line and the rod rings, so that you can also manage very well with this line when you want to present your fly over slightly longer distances.
The XP SENSE DT is 100 feet (30.5m) long and has welded loops on both ends so you can loop in your leader quickly and easily. Suitable for fine and light dry fly fishing, this fly line is available in line classes #3, #4 and #5. For quick identification of the right line, the line classes are also printed directly on the fly line. In terms of colour, the line is split down the middle and has a light blue and a peach-coloured side. Like all DT lines, the DT XP SENSE can be used on both sides. When line starts to present signs of wear after long and intense use, you simply turn it around by winding it the other way round on your reel and thus you virtually have a new line.
