WADING BOOT FLY V2

ATTENTION: The specified wading size already takes into account the space required for the neoprene booties of your waders. So if your normal street shoe size is 10 we recommend that you also take the wading boots in this size.

The wading boots FLY were improved by us in cooperation with the company Andrew (Montebelluna - Italy). The model FLY V2 is a wading shoe in a classic and timeless design. Its great strength is the unparalleled comfort in combination with a good protection and high slip resistance. These wading boots are designed for all situations a fly fisherman can encounter, from the mighty lowland streams to the raging mountain creeks.

NEW WET GRIP SOLE WITH IMPROVED SLIP RESISTANCE

The most obvious innovation in the FLY V2 compared to its predecessor is certainly the completely newly developed Wet Grip sole. It is specially designed for use in humid areas and in water and is characterised by outstanding slip resistance on wet, slick and overgrown surfaces. A completely new rubber compound was developed for the outsole, with very elastic and extremely soft properties, which also has a very positive effect on running comfort. The great advantage of this new material, however, is its excellent mechanical resistance. Due to the low wear, the sole retains its superb characteristics for wet and humid surfaces of all kinds for a long time. This is of course accompanied by a corresponding longevity.

Thanks to the controlled deformability and viscoelastic behaviour, the sole adapts optimally to any shape of ground and increases the effective contact area. This is further enhanced by the slightly wider sole, so that you can use the maximum contact and friction surface with every step. This makes wading in challenging situations easier and therefore safer.

The rubber compound of the new sole keeps its excellent properties over a wide temperature range, so you will find optimal grip on the water all year round.

The new wet grip sole is available in 4 different versions for the FLY V2 wading boot:

as a full-length rubber sole - with or without pre-mounted studs
as a combination sole with rubber and central felt insert in the forefoot - with or without pre-mounted studs

The studs can also be retrofitted to both sole types if you decide to buy the version without studs. The positions are already provided on the profile of the sole. With these different sole variants, you too will find the perfect sole for you and your waters, offering you maximum grip on all surfaces.

The FLY V2 was tested for a long time last season (2015) and has proven to be almost indestructible, like the CREEK. After about 400 hours of testing, we just let change the worn felt sole, that's it. Also for this model we offer the unique service to replace the used sole (re-soling).

These wading shoes are designed for avid fly fishermen, who make countless fishing trips a year, attach great importance to comfort and a classic design.

We can recommend the FLY V2 primarily for use in fresh water. In aggressive salt water, the metal parts of the eyelets can corrode. In this case, the Marea Dark by Andrew is the perfect wading boot for you. Also extremely durable and super comfortable, it contains no metal parts at all, making it 100% saltwater resistant.

Please note: Due to the natural flexing motion when walking, the rubber rand may occasionally separate from the upper at a small, localised point in the flex area of the wading boot, as the special adhesive is desied to give slightly to accommodate the different stretch characteristics of the materials. This is completely normal, remains localised and does not affect the function, stability or service life of the wading boot.

The wading boots come with a small pouch containing 2 D-rings.
They are used to create a secure attachment point for the gravel guard hook of your waders.

Installation:

Remove the laces from your wading boot.
Thread the laces through the fabric loop attached to the D-ring.
Re-lace the boot as usual.

Correct positioning:

Put on your waders and wading boots.
Pull the gravel guards down over the boots.
Check where the gravel guard hook naturally rests on the boot.
Attach the D-ring slightly below that point.

This creates a slight tension once the gravel guard is hooked in, ensuring it stays securely and reliably in place at all times.

Suola con un grip impressionante anche senza chiodi , Sono scarponi che a vederli parrebbero molto rigidi ed invece calzano come un vero guanto. il sistema di scorrimento dei lacci è molto comodo .
