The HERO series of fly rods is certainly one of Vision's best-known fly rod series. They are also undoubtedly the best-selling rods of recent years. And it's no wonder, because the declared aim when developing this rod series was to build affordable yet powerful fly rods that are perfectly tailored and designed for all the fishing techniques, needs and preferences that draw us to the water time and time again. All models are based on rod blanks made of 36T carbon fibre with a medium-fast action, whereby the characteristics of the individual rods differ depending on the area of application. That's why every fly fisherman will find the right fly rod in the wide range of models in the HERO rod series, from the short and light LITTLE HERO to the universal SUPER HERO and the NYMPH HERO as well as STILL HERO models specifically designed for their intended use, to name but a few. The HERO fly rods are designed to make all fly fishers a hero on the water, from enthusiastic beginners to professional competition anglers.

All fly rods in this series are 4-piece and equipped with modern single leg rod guides. They are supplied in a protective Cordura transport tube.

THE INDIVIDUAL MODELS

LITTLE HERO - 7' #3: the shortest rod in this series is predestined for fly fishing in small streams, where fine and precise presentations are essential, even if the casting space is often restricted by dense and overhanging bank vegetation. This short and light rod comes into its own in such situations. It is equipped with a half wells handle and an uplock reel seat to match.

DRY HERO - 8' #4: the first choice for delicate and light fly fishing with the dry fly on small and medium-sized waters. When it comes to delicate presentations with long and thin leaders and you ideally want to breathe the dry fly onto the surface of the water, then this model is the best choice. The half wells handle and an uplock reel seat are perfectly suited to the range of applications of this rod.

SUPER HERO - 9' #5: a real all-rounder with which you are ideally prepared for all possible situations. Whether fly fishing with a dry fly, classic nymph fishing or fly fishing with streamers, with this universal rod you have the right rod for all applications. It is typically equipped with a half wells handle and uplock reel seat.

RIVER HERO - 9' #6: if your fly patterns increase with the size of the water and therefore the average length of your catches also increases, then you should go for this model. With this rod, you don't have to compromise even on larger rivers, because in addition to smaller flies, which you can still present with this rod, it also casts and fishes decent streamers without any problems. It is not for nothing that this rod is the first choice of fly-fishing world champion Jari Heikkinen for streamer fishing. A fine full wells handle with fighting butt and uplock reel seat is also used here.

COAST HERO - 9' #7: if you want to be successful on the coast, you need the right equipment, because the conditions for sea trout, garfish and the like can be pretty rough. You can rely on this rod, both when wading along the coast and from a boat. Clearly equipped with a full wells handle with fighting butt and an uplock reel seat.

LONG HERO - 9'6'' #7: if you need to make long casts with large, bushy and windy streamers, then this is the model for you. It is a real streamer rod that has enough power to cut a fine figure when fly-fishing for salmon with a single-handed rod. This rod also only comes with a full wells handle with fighting butt and an uplock reel seat.

NYMPH HERO - 10' #3, 10' #4 & 10'6'' #3: different rod models share the same name here, differing only in length and line class. As with all fly rods designed specifically for modern nymph fishing, these Euronymph rods have a downlocking reel seat to help balance your tackle setup and a short fighting butt that allows you to rest the rod on your forearm and take the strain off your wrist when accompanying drifting nymphs. The single leg rod guides used are slightly smaller and placed at a shorter distance from each other. Perfect feel and great sensitivity at a very affordable price.

STILL HERO - 9'9'' #6 & 10' #7: with these Stillwater models you are perfectly equipped for all types of fly fishing in lakes, ponds and reservoirs. The slightly longer rods allow you to cast at greater distances and the different models offer you the right line classes for a near-surface presentation with floating lines and intermediates or the necessary power to go diving with sinking lines. The full wells handle with fighting butt and uplock reel seat are of course also used here.
