The fly rods of the PERFORMER series have become real bestsellers within the wide range of JMC rods in a short time. No wonder, because these rods are specially designed for European nymphing, which is very much in vogue. In addition, very high-quality materials and the best components are used for this rod series, which guarantee you uncompromising performance on the water.
The entire PERFORMER rod series consists of 6 models in different lengths from 9'4'' (284 cm) to 11 foot (335 cm) for the line classes #2/3 or #3/4 and thus perfectly cover all applications of European Nymphing with ultra-thin fly lines or the use of monofilament lines. The slim, matt brown rod blank is made of multidirectional 46T carbon fibre in combination with nano resins, which provide a sensitive tip as well as a medium-fast action with sufficient power reserves for the drill of larger fish. With the exception of the Fuji micro guide ring, this rod uses hard chrome single leg running guides throughout.
The half wells handle is made of high-quality full cork with a rubberised protective rim, to which follows a very elegant up-lock reel seat made of aluminium with carbon insert. All fly rods of the PERFORMER series have a screw-on fighting butt, which provides relief for the wrist in two ways during the special guidance of the rod during the controlled drift of the nymphs in European nymphing. On the one hand, the fighting butt allows you to support the rod behind the wrist on the forearm. On the other hand, the fly rods of the PERFORMER series can be optimally balanced by the enclosed balance weights. Especially when using fly reels that are too light, longer rods, such as those used in European nymphing, tend to become top-heavy and thus strain your wrist. With this clever solution you can fish in a much more relaxed and concentrated way and thus be more effective, even on long days on the water.
The PERFORMER fly rods all consist of 4 pieces and are delivered in a practical Cordura rod tube with inner compartments.
