GENETIC HACKLES MINIPATCHES from hotfly are cut from whole capes and have around 40 to 50 feathers. They come from very own breeding lines from the USA, where the properties of the hackle feathers for fly tying have been further optimised through selection and crossing. These excellent hackles can be wrapped very smoothly around the hook shank due to their flexible, break-resistant and fine keels. The fibres however are stiff so that they stick out nicely. The advantage of a GENETIC HACKLES MINIPATCH is that you don't have to buy a complete cape with hundreds of feathers of a single colour. So, you are much more flexible at the tying table when it comes to the colour variations of your artificial flies, but you can still tie dozens of flies of a certain colour with one patch. In addition, the individual patches are cut and sorted in such a way that they mostly contain hackles of a certain size. So, you simply select the patches that correspond to your preferred fly size.
