EQUALLY SUITABLE FOR EURONYMPHING AND DRY FLY FISHING

With the NYMPHMANIAC, Vision presents a unique fly line that virtually squares the circle, as its very special design makes it ideal for both Euronymphing as well as dry fly fishing. At 8 metres, the very long front taper of this WF fly line is ultra-thin for the first 6 metres and this section, known as the Nymphing Zone™, allows you to control the drift of your nymphs perfectly because this section of the line is extremely light and therefore does not forms a line belly. In this way, direct contact with the nymphs is maintained over the entire drift, which is fundamental for successful Euronymphing.

The rear section of the 12-metre-long head has sufficient weight so that this line can be cast and fished like a conventional WF fly line. This allows you to switch immediately from modern nymph fishing to dry flies on the water when the fish start to rise at a sudden insect hatch and present the dry fly in a controlled and precise manner even at greater distances. The long and thin front taper also enables a very gentle presentation. This fly line is ideal for casting and fishing small, fine and light dry flies, such as CDC patterns. On the contrary, large, heavily dressed and therefore wind-catching dry flies are less suitable.

The handling line between the thicker head and the thin running line ensures a smoother transition and makes casting easier, as small errors in the cast have less of an impact.

The floating NYMPHMANIAC fly line is 27 metres long and comes in a subtle light olive colour. The braided line core is very low-stretch and therefore ensures direct contact with your flies and makes casting easier, as it transmits the impulse undamped to the tip of the line. Small, factory-welded line loops are attached to both ends of the line, allowing backing and leader to be attached quickly and easily. The fly line is free from PVC and plasticisers containing phthalates.
